March 20th, 2008 The results are in from the Blossoming Lotus/ Vegan Fusion World-wide recipe contest which began on January 17th, 2007. We received hundreds of incredible submissions from around the world including most of the 50 states as well as Germany, England, Canada, Italy, Norway and Brazil. The recipes demonstrate the wonderful range of flavors possible with vegan cuisine. The Grand Prize went to Felix Schoener of Martfield, Germany for his South-east Asian Vegetables Stirred Not Fried on Cauliflower 'Rice' with Spicy Cashews. 50 runner up winners were selected with awesome dishes ranging from Raw Peppermint Patties to Gaucho Style Grilled Portobello with Fire Roasted Tomato Chimichurri Sauce and Green Olive Pico. The winning recipes will be included in an upcoming book. Stay tuned! Felix and a friend will receive an all expense paid mystic journey for 2 to the paradise Island of Kaua'i, Hawaii!!!
